WEBIFI SHIELD

The Webifi Shield WiFi board measures 63.6mm x 55.6mm and was designed to plug directly onto your Arduino. Using the Arduino UART you can connect to your devices or software over the Internet.

Technical Specs are:

  1. ESP8266 based Wi-Fi interface (ESP-12F which has passed FCC & CE & RoHS certification)
  2. USB connector for configuring settings and for powering the PCB
  3. Option to solder connectors at the top of the PCB so that another shield can be plugged in
  4. Separate UARTs are used for the connection to the Arduino and the optional shield. This means the Arduino can communicate with the Webifi Wifi Shield and another Shield using the same UART. An IO pin is used by the Arduino to select which UART it needs to connect to.

ABOUT US

Webifi was founded in 2017 by Hubert Jetschko, a hardware engineer based in Auckland, New Zealand.

His experiences with getting his products connected online led him to develop an easier way to connect devices together over the internet.

The result is Webifi – an end-to-end solution which includes the hardware required to transmit data, as well as the server infrastructure to ensure secure transfer of the data in a simple to use way.
In 2018 we launched our first KickStarter Campaign to raise enough funds to ensure the cost-effective production of the Webifi Boards.
